About Cineleisure X LASALLE: BRAVER NEW WORLD

BRAVER NEW WORLD hopes to raise the awareness of design’s increasing role in a changing world order and spark conversations about alternative ways of innovating solutions for an uncertain future. These works address issues related to urban futures such as food security, fungiculture, social isolation, and the smart city. Students engage in speculative and imaginative thinking through climate and design fiction. This enables them to conceptualise ideas beyond world constraints and model them through prototyping based on rigorous usability testing methods.  

There will be a talk on the 23rd, which will consist of a presentation and Q&A with Nathan Yong (Programme Leader) and Rachel Koh (Lecturer). It will address local and world issues, and reconsider how product design can evolve to meet emergent needs in a complex world.
