DESIGN FOR GOOD
About Design For Good
A showcase of works by Diploma in Design (DES) students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Design & Environment (DE) as part of their Year 1 to 3 Design Studio modules.
In their design studios, students were given real-world challenge statements crafted by various industry and community partners that addressed social and environmental issues. Students then undertook a human-centered design approach in their research, refined their briefs, and co-developed their solutions with their industry and community partners at various stages of the design process.
This exhibition showcases these processes and the outputs through physical and digital prototypes, as well as static and interactive displays that encompass a range of design solutions from product to architectural design.
The main outcomes of these design studio modules include sharpening the competences of our students in design thinking, technical and communication skills, and most importantly, to become socially responsible designers that will positively impact society and the environment in the future.
Come by and get inspired by their works!

At the School of Design & Environment (DE), they harness your talent for design and sense of empathy for those you are designing for. And for those with a natural appreciation for living and working spaces, you will shape the way they are built and managed. In DE, they provide you with opportunities to think through seemingly complex processes to arrive at simple but brilliant solutions. They aim to make the world a better place to live in, and they help you – the designer or built environment professional – get there.
